well its seams the more I take this engine apart the more I find I didnt get what I paid for

does it look like the exhaust valve have a 3 angle job done to you?

3 angle is supose to be done on both right?

yes if you paid for a three angle valve job they should have done BOTH the intake and exhaust, but that intake job looks better than some jobs Ive seen, thats one of the little details that you learn to ask about and specifically have listed on your work reciepts, as work to be done, when you get an engine worked on(the fact that you want BOTH the intake and EXHAUST VALVES- SEATS cut with three angles)

BTW IVE GOT TO ASK? WHATS THE REASON YOUR HEADS HAVE A THREADED HOLE IN THE PORT ROOF?

Just had a look thats for the guide plate bolts

is this another thing wrong with this engine  :!:   :( :?

its not (NORMAL, ON A SBC) now your engine may run ok if coolant doesn,t leak into the port thru the threaded hole but most SBC heads don,t have a hole there at that location, Id suggest you ask a few questions and inspect a few other cylinder heads , and other ports on those heads before re-assembly, does the other head and other ports have that hole? ID bet the answer is NOT, and its the result of a machine shop SCREW-UP

Both heads have them? I inspected them really good no signs on a coolant leak, never puffed any out the exhaust either?

when they port match the heads it looks like they "might" have done it but its hard to tell??? it dont look like there was alot of grinding in those areas

obviously, its not a major concern if the engine was running fine in that condition, Its just not something you see on every cylinder head
