obviously there's hundreds of options , vendors and brands read carefully,
and Ideally try to find a fuel pump that had both the correct port size for the fuel lines and flow capacity.
at the ideal pressure range you need and ideally at a reasonable price and from a trusted vendor.
first determine the type of fuel pump you need(internal in the fuel tank like the C4 corvette )
or a manual engine mounted fuel pump
, (or an external electric fuel pump)
many BUT NOT ALL<muscle cars benefit from swapping from the factory manual fuel pump to the frame mounted electrical fuel pumps

here's a few options please add what you've found and used along with the rated flow capacity and price.
personally I think most people fail to read or just don't understand what the pump pressure and flow capacity ratings mean, keep in mind most pumps for carburetor use require a fuel pressure regulator and most pumps for EFI use are mounted inside fuel tanks on systems designed to use a FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR AND RETURN LINE

Here’s a couple of electric fuel pumps I’ve used that have worked well for me.

1) Holley HP-150; PN 12-150; 140 GPH @ 7 psi, internally regulated at 16 psi
$385.95 at Summit Racing Equip. (includes a PN 12-803 pressure regulator)

This pump was installed a 71 Chevy Nova I bought back in 2006. It had a 350 Small Block Chevy with a 200HP N2O Express Hitman N2O plate system on it. The pump supported both the engine (about 400 HP) and a 200HP shot of nitrous with no problem. Here are some pictures of the installation:

I was running 13.44 @ 101.6 MPH NA and a best of 11:41 at 118.5 MPH with 150HP N2O shot at the time.

Since per NHRA rules I should have had at least a roll bar at 11:50, a friend and I installed a 14 pt. roll cage in the car. During the timeframe of the cage installation I bought a 650HP 408 ci SBC crate motor (detailed here) and installed it in the Nova when the cage was completed. It ran a best of 11:21 at 121.29 MPH NA. The fuel pump again worked flawlessly. Here are some pictures of that installation:

I sold the car to my son who got sideways in it at 80 MPH at the drag strip and kissed the guardrail which tweaked the frame so we retired it. I took the pump out of the car and I am now installing it in my 71 Nova. I will detail its latest installation in an upcoming post.

The fuel pump worked great in the installations detailed above and will next be put to use in my Nova. I would definitely recommend it for performance and reliability.

2) Mallory Comp Pump Series 250; PN 5250 (discontinued; new PN 29269) 250 GPH @ 18 psi bypass pump approx. $650; I found one at Jegs: Mallory Fuel Pump & Relay Kit - Gasoline .

I used this pump in my 69 Nova race car, but it appears that the PN 5250 was superseded by the PN 29629. It was another good reliable pump I had experience with. Sadly, I think it was discontinued after Holley bought MSD/Mallory. Here are a couple of pictures of its installation for information.
