prefilling your oil filter in applications where its potentially possible to do so just makes sense.
I also strongly suggest you put a high temp ceramic magnet on your oil pan plug bolt and a larger rin magnet on the oil filter base
many magnets lose their magnetic pull if heated too 200F
these SPECIAL CERAMIC MAGNETS below won't

if you can't easily prefill the oil filter disconnecting the coil wire so you can use the starter ,
without the engine firing up after the oil change reduces the potential for bearing damage issues.
