Yes, I think that is one reason that the american pre owner switched to this engine instead to a sbc.
So I found the engine code. It is LL that means 1965 std engine.
By the way the headers had no gasket, but there was nearly no leak.
Is this a standard GM Alternator? I have to rewire it, the Alternator didn't worked, because the hot wire was hanging in the air and one of the two contacts was wired to an external regulator that was melted and didn't worked. The wiring of this truck is the baddest I saw in my live. Many wires has no contact, the connections between wires are not good and many wires are changing there colors every inch.

My fav's are the internal regulated units. There is only a 55 AH Battery in the truck. There are no fancy or modern devices in that truck. No Radio, no electric fan (but I want to install one), no power windows or things like that.
I can hold the price to sell CS144 Alternator at $225-250.I will check them out. Maybe I switch to the CS144 in my 55 and the truck get the alternator from the 55.
It's what my late Bud Bill did after his career after a GM Chevy/ Corvette Mechanic.Sounds like you have a notch market. Have you considered trying to market that alternator? With all the big amps and stuff people are putting in their cars these could be awesome. Can you buy new parts and assemble them? How about selling a kit to modify existing alts to supercharge them? Stop making others rich and do it for yourself.
