1994 K1500 Suburban 4X4, Another SBC Bites The Dust

No. Cash for Clunkers killed off much of the Usable Decent Daily Driver Engine Replacement Supply.
Ed is planning to keep me busy this week Mon -Fri.
I figured you had a decent investment in the 65 mile Camaro engine.
I am not out to Hose you over.
I would have to work it off getting projects done for you in person.
Your house.

My sister's boyfriend took this motor out the same day he bought it. Ames used to be down the street they would weather proof motors for $225 but he worked at their muffler shop which owned Ames back then so he got the service for cost.
It's wrapped with that white plastic and put in a large vacuum box to remove all the air and heat seal the end of the bag. Spark plugs and all fluids are removed.

I have to pursue options here Richard.
Have to get my Suburban running again soon before I take another Job.
So I can get my Toolbox there.

Everything I have purchased from Pennsylvania this year from ebay Sellers has been Top Notch Quality .
Honest Good People .

Stock Engines are Good enough for many.
Especially daily driven.
65 mile original TPI Engine is unheard of.

There's a cut off time and the auction people want to print a sales catalog. I can't sell things and they're not available when the auction time comes up. I have some guys meeting me today for a possible trade of my parts for 1 or more cars they have.

PA is no poverty state that's for sure. The best place to buy Antiques and raw materials.

Gary said he could get $3,000 for it and it was sold to a guy that night and he backed out losing his $100 deposit. The guy thought it was a Corvette pull. When he heard the car guys wanted the new LT1 and all the old engines would become hard to sell because high horsepower is making a comeback - I wanted it for a 1976 Uhaul cube van I just bought. We bargained back and fourth ending at that odd number It was stored at Gary's until he moved in 2003, in my warehouse ever since. Checked last October for holes in plastic. None could be found but vacuum was lost at some point.

for some reason Ames stopped that service. I know it worked very well, I sold a late 77 Yamaha RD 350 Cafe bike last year and that was bagged and sucked in 92. Not even dust was on that never titled 11 mile bike and that lost vacuum (my fault) after the 2nd year stored

I have made Pontiac V8 Engines Run after sitting for 30 + Years in the car before I bought them and transported home.
LT-1 IS nice but the Optispark is a huge problem today.
So the Lowly L98 TPI is not so bad.
Very reliable.
Pulls a Tall Highway gear in a lightweight C4 Corvette with ease.
C4 vettes are Super Areo Dynamic.
I think better than New C7.
I can get 32 mpg out of mine cruising careful light foot 45-65 mph.
80 mph cruise control set it gets 28 mpg.

Vacuum storage engines & parts sound intriguing .
Never had it done for me.

Like to have a Get around Motorcycle.
600-900 cc be nice.
I like Harley Davidsons. Have to wait...Priorities.
Vintage Cafe' Racers are Kool.

Nothing really special about C4 LT-1.
Longblock without intake is very close to identical to the L98 TPI.

I have a carbon fiber table top vacuum machine adapted and modified from a wood veneer kit I bought (another great business plan of mine) I used to buy up all the starters and alternators I could find cheap and rebuild them. My claim of quality was that I vacuum sealed these parts but today I have this remarkable equipment collecting dust. My wife used to tell her mother that someday they would find her vacuum packed at the bottom of a river somewhere. I had this huge roll of plastic bought at a pharmaceutical equipment auction so I sealed most everything Lol!

I am using my imagination Richard....I think You have a complete FACTORY.
Much like the Caterpillar Oswego, IL (Aurora- next to Naperville) I worked at in building B....Just Gianormas Huge place.
They closed down building B earlier this year...Mining business in the dumps.....Bam & Hillary & those sheep tree huggers.
Good thing I quit & went back to being an Auto & Diesel Mechanic.

Caterpillar had a record year in 2005 when I worked there.
Bush was president....he came by the Oswego factory when I worked there.'
I was shop sterward for a while in building B.

Bam Gets in and democratic communist ways of his ......they shut down.

I'm an inventor of business ideas. Like Edison I never failed in business, just found a few dozen ways things didn't work out. I was aiming for retirement to FL by 40, missed my mark. I get bored really easy, it's like being a hoarder but not the mess just good stuff. Also a workaholic until 45.
You should really take a few days and come here. I can show you things that would blow your mind and you won't need to spend money on food and lodging.

I guess you can say My meds need adjusting Brian. My vacation comes early in July, the family is at the shore for a couple weeks so it's just me around.

I'm going to put up some stuff on DC. I sold a lot of stuff there, some to Superman Matt, Gary and one you don't care for too much.
I put somethings on CL late last night, my cell phone has been buzzing since 7:30 this morning got 2 PayPal deposits and somebody's mother is coming by to pick up
