To answer your question; No I did not bore my throttle bodies out, however I did do the bushings.
At the time I was having some idling issues, but it did not cure it at all.
The issue turns out was with my tune.
I also confirmed recently that I'm running out of "VE" fueling @ 4,000RPM with near WOT.
I also did a little "Race" with a brand new VW Turbo Golf with an earlier tune.
At the time I had the wrong SA latency tables, and I was still running the 85 SA main tables.
I could not close the gap, however the gap was not increasing until It hit about 70mph, from there the gap started to close pretty quick, but by that time I had to back off for safety reasons...
when I got home I looked up the car, they have two versions. One is rated with a 0-60 @ 4.5sec, the other has a 0-60 of 4sec...
I'm calling that a pretty good improvement...
So to help deal with the fueling issues, I have the vacuum reference fuel pressure regulator installed...
Last weekend I made some block off plates for the factory FPR out of some aluminum stock.
Engine is a bit dirty... Here is the first install picture, I also parallel plumed the throttle bodies...
