yeah, one more in a long list of reasons why I chose florida as a place to retire, the weather year round, most years is rather tolerant of out door driving.
yeah we have "brutal winters" where the temps occasionally drop into the mid or low 30F range for 2-4 days,
providing me with some entertainment as the natives run around like the worlds ending as a result...
but the only real P.I.T.A. is about every 9-10 years,
we get a hurricane and have to deal with the resulting property damage and a couple months of clouds of mosquitoes.
and property taxes are rather high,
but at least theres no state income taxes
I had originally planed to retire in northern Texas but the wife seemed dead set on staying close to her family
