getting a lift serviced or parts

ALL lifts will eventually need repairs or service work, think about that before buying a cheap import lift because your life may depend on parts not failing while your under some cheap imported lift you saved $500-$1000 on, rather than pay a bit more for a well engineered American made lift, most repairs that don,t require repairs of structural failures which are very rare on the better lifts (NOT THE CHEAP IMPORTS) will be fairly simple cable or pulley or hydraulic cylinder related, if the lift was installed by factory authorized service techs your far less likely to have problems and obviously theres a warrantee for some off the better lifts and it helps a great deal if the lift manufacturer is still in business when you need parts or service

It really helps if you buy a name brand American made lift vs an import when looking for parts but theres some degree of parts interchangeability so you may find parts even for discontinued designs, but obviously your far better off dealing with the major suppliers and brand name equipment
