thinking a bit outside the box

I was driving home the other day and I see a large multi family yard sale , as Im passing by I glance over and see what I know is at least a $800 pressure cleaner similar to this picture , but a larger heavier design cart,with a tag that says $20, doesn,t work so,thinking a bit outside the box

I talk the guy down to $10 almost with zero effort, its obvious hes glad its leaving, I take it home , I have zero interest in a defective pressure cleaner but the cart its mounted on is in perfect shape and the wheels, frame etc, look great so off comes the pressure cleaner and in about 1 hour with a bit of welding and some paint I have a new really nice welder cart for the shop
 

It was nice of them to stick it out front so you could see it driving by! I'm surprised your not fixing the pressure washer and then selling it for a profit.

If you have to buy a welder to put on the cart, then the cart was not so cheap in the end. :cool:

 
I had the welder but the cart it came with was flimsy in comparison to the cart I adapted and the pressure washer was solidly locked up, the guy left it in a shed after spraying chlorine thru it without flushing it for several years, it was basically powdered aluminum trash
