The Vintage Souix Grinding stones are best Grumpy.
Circa 1960's.
Exact same Tooling kit I am using , Bill R. used.
I found 30 years later & bought.
Left in a corner GM Dealership I worked at 1999. Now closed down and building demolished.
I don't know what's in the Vintage Sioux wheels exact but cut like new modern stones can't.
Maybe Diamond dust impreginated.

Assemble the 193 heads in the morning with special select Fel Pro Valvestem Viton seals made for these TBI Truck heads.
Finally install onto my Suburban shortbolck & torque them down.
3 - angle valvejob took a long time. Lots of metal had to be removed to get correct margin widths.
Takes A Lot longer than Pontiac Ram Air High compression heads.
They turned out pretty nice.
Get the job done. Should last another 20 years.

193 heads are High Nickle variety.
Valve guides have vitual no wear.
Vortech heads flow more but are butter soft iron.
Guides always shot in them .

Those high-swirl ports just look WRONG. But they probably do the job as GM intended for daily-drivers.

Almost done building the 350 TBI engine for my Suburban.
Transfer the EGR Valve.
Install the exhaust manifolds.
VHT Brand Primer & Paint the engine.

The Humidity is real high this morning.
Messing with painting.
Air moisture level is around 80-90 %.
Ambient air temps already 90-92 F.
A Hot Day.
Need 1 more can of VHT High Temp Black Gloss Paint.
Let the TIB 350 Enginer bake in the Heat today.
See if paint flows out nice in heat today & burn moisture off trapped in pant.
Usuallly does.
Heavy rain called for next few days.
Got it painted before then.
Off to Eds.
Race Car to work on & get done today.
