just want some reassurance on combo choices

Its mainly Budget limits Grumpy.
Skills and Tools and a Big Workshop or not.

One big Reason I want my Suburban back and Fully Tow capable pulling My Trans Am on my car trailer.
Work on it in Eds Big Garage.

Not a single person here in my memory has ever built custom 1 off headers Grumpy.
I would like to.
Its possible now in Eds Garage & Him Tigging.
Still need that Fancy Plastic Donought Header Tube Mockup kit.
Recall it was $700-800.

Stack injection is Nice.
Screwed if it rains.
You had Morons pour soda pop down the IR Cower Stack injection on your 1968 Corvette 496 BBC.
I have a mock up kit, I have made some for big block cars. Haven't ever bothered for the Camaro chassis with the steering clearance issues and the clutch linkage. I tried once and couldn't get my tubes to work out quiet right.

yes I had morons try to screw with my crower stack injection,
but I personally have build several sets of custom headers,
now in many cases it was basically, rather extensively modifying existing headers
cutting them off and significantly lengthening them with pre-formed collectors like linked, below
, at times adding the collectors and 4 short lengths to primary header pipes,
you simply do the required math and figure out how to build what you need from what ever your budget options and skill level permits,
at times thats with a header flange and the collector, placed where you want it, then routing each primary as required

theres readily available calculator info in the links posted below so take the time to read thru the linked info and sub links as it can save you days of work and a bunch of cash
theres pre-cut header flanges

one reason I own both a miller MIG and TIG, welder

theres pre-welded collectors, its really not all that difficult

I generally just buy the set of these and weld them on,to the primaries cut to 36"-38" as it saves a great deal of work and the results have proven to be similar, ideally the two collectors feed into an (X) pipe with fairly long tail pipes as this seems to help the torque curve be a bit broader , even if it does cost a few peak ft lbs

I purchase the same kits. I like them really well

There is the Dollars spent to gain extra torque & Hp gains also Grumpy.

Is it worth it ?
Not a Race Car.
Not competing on a National Level.
No Payouts or Checks given like winning a regional or national event.
Or like Winning Saturday Night Dirt Track Main feature Race.

Just comes back to Isky 272/282 Performs with Minimal hassle & Broad torque band for lowest cost.
Or Overhead costs.

ISKY 272/282.

IVO-23
IVC-69

EVO-74
EVC-28

All at .050.

Old Isky Catalog shows all events at .050".

Intake lift .505
Eh lift .535
1.5 Rockers

Use 1.5 Rockers.
750 cfm
Open headers
Single plane race.

Make another test run
Did we ever fix these numbers in the run? Or were they entered correctly the first time and the catalog wasn't showing .050 numbers?

Sounds good, I just remembered reading where you thought there was a discrepancy. Just making sure the charts I'm looking at are correct
These days I will take a smaller profile cam like the Isky 272/282 over a Larger cam that may work on the street.

I discovered also A Full race camshaft can be a bit too big and never know it till you try a slight smaller profile.
Target 7000-7500 Rpm for peak Hp.

I agree 100%, what kind of mufflers are the hot ticket these days? I can go with whatever. Just don't want anything that is hella loud. I can't drive with the super loud stuff anymore. 3" exhaust is what I will probably have to stick with. Mufflers by the rear end, x pipe coming out of collector.

Borla Mufflers if you can afford my pick.

Grumpy had a muffler shootout list a few years ago.
Was intetesting.

Those Hooked Aero mufflers look good too.
Cost less.

Quiet and high flow can be tough.
What is quiet to some is loud to others.
Subjective.

Borla XR-1,Race Mufflers.
Race car on the street. May be too loud for many.

Like my Flowmaster 2 chambers.
Dated now.
Was state of the art 1994-1999.
3 inch I have.
Lasted. All these years.
Let's everyone know it's a Racecar especially Revved up.
Hooked Aero Chambers look good to me right now.
