just want some reassurance on combo choices

I have some choices to make. Those are both interesting shafts and two different animals. I think I would float the valves before I get to reap all the HP from the isky. I suppose I could install it a few degrees advanced. I don't have plans for a rev kit, but if I consider the isky I will consider a rev kit. I definitely don't want to have things come apart from floating them. Thanks for crunching numbers. I do appreciate it as always
I am looking at 6500 Rpm cutoff.
Small Block Chevy valvetrain toss weight is low.
Be ok.

1.5 or 1.6 ratio rockers ?
His custom Straub cam I ran with 1.5 and 1.6 ratio.

Isky Cam done at 1.5 ratio rockers last.

Isky makes off the wall Race Cams too.
Easily hit 10,000 Rpm Grumpy.

Objective as I see is best Street Race power to win.
Not blow the rear tires off.
Called No Prep Drag Racing now.

The 1st thing to do is run the Crane Cams at .050.
Then advertised (.004").
Compare.
Make sure no large discrepincies.

how ever you used the data on one cam must be the same way you do all the cams to be valid

Wow....
A Huge discrepancy from the 1st Cam profile pick from Grumpy.
Crane HR230.
1st run at .004" - advertised events.
Then at .050".

Post real soon.

Its not apples to apples.
